Imajine That: Kids Birthday Parties!

As you know, Baby E turned 5, and we are so super excited about this coming weekend because Imajine That is hosting a birthday party for Baby E and our friends and family! It's a big deal, it's her first real birthday party. We like to keep our parties low-key and every year we just do it at home. Since 5 years old is a pretty big deal, we wanted to invite people outside of the immediate family. While we're thankful for so many friends and relatives, we just couldn't host a party for everyone in our tiny townhome.

The popular party places with kids slot machines totally overwhelm us and are something I would never consider. I get a headache just thinking about being there. Imajine That is different! It is a great place for imaginative, creative play. So it's only fitting that they host awesome kids birthday parties

Both our children love this place! It's perfect here in New England where you can't throw a birthday party outdoors for a good 6 months out of the year. It's also worth the drive even if you don't live in the Merrimack Valley area or if you're in southern New Hampshire or Maine.

So what's so awesome about hosting a party at Imajine That? Here are some things we love about it:
  • Three party package options for any amount of guests
  • Packages include one hour of play time before the party and one hour after the party, so you get a total of 3 hours at the facility!
  • Party includes everything but the cake and you can make your own! (as long as it has no nuts)
  • Includes: admission for guests, food, drink, ice cream for the kids, paper products, party assistant, printable invitations, and favors.
  • Babies under 1 and adults admitted free! So the guest count is only for children 1-12.
  • Themed birthday parties available for additional fee
  • Lots of food add-on options from the Sal's Pizza Catering Menu
  • Add-on activities include sand art, ice cream sundae buffet, cupcake decorating, photo booth, and face painting.

If you know me, you know I'm pretty picky about food - i.e. we do not eat junk food around here. When it comes to a kids birthday party though, I let things go. I do have to say that Sal's Pizza served at Imajine That is a step above your average pizza! I really love that you can bring your own cake/dessert. That's important to me because I can't tolerate those colorful, toxic artificial dye cakes served up for kids birthdays. It just makes me want to gag. So if we're eating pizza to celebrate, at least the dessert with be a 'real food' treat! :)

The best part of all? The play space itself is A-W-E-S-O-M-E! It's 12,000 square feet - so s p a c i o u s! There are no shoes allowed, everyone must wear socks - so it's nice and clean. There are so many things kids can do and so many ways for them to interact with each other without feeling claustrophobic. Huge dinosaur climbing structure/ labyrinth with slides, child sized grocery store, reading/theater area, arts and crafts area, a play area for little ones, a clinic, inflatable jumper, etc.

So if you're looking for a place to hold a kids birthday party near Boston, Imajine That is definitely worth a look!

Come back next week to see tons of photos of our party at Imajine That
and to get an inside look at the facility!
