Kicking off our splendid Newborn Fluff event is Baby Snickerdoodles, an Etsy boutique with adorable and practical wool items for baby. Heather is very talented and creative and we're honored to feature her shop! We were sent a wool soaker pictured above for review, as soft and adorable as they come.
Materials: The wool soakers are perfect for keeping baby dry and letting the skin breathe. They are great overnight over a fitted diaper, they do not absorb stink, and wash very easily. This is actually our first soaker, I had some longies with the first baby though that I loved. It's nice not to have to wash it every time! It's warm in the winter and cool in the summer, just an all around perfect material.
Sizing: We received the soaker in small size, it is quite tiny looking but I'm anticipating that it will fit for about three months (our first baby was 6 lbs 12 oz). You can order one in any size you need, even a custom one.
Value: A soaker such as the one pictured costs $15, a reasonable price compared to similar handmade items on Etsy. The long recycled wool longies are a steal at $12-$15! The hand crocheted ones are $30. How about a set of 3 preemie soakers (below) for just $24?
About: The handmade items at Baby Snickerdoodles are unique and one-of-a-kind. In addition to wool soakers and longies you will find cloth wipes, nursing pads, chalk mat rolls, and other accessories. Custom orders are welcome!
