Being pregnant through the summer immediately made me think of what I'll be wearing at the beach and the lake. Sure, I probably could wear my two piece, but I don't know how comfortable or decent I would feel. I was very excited to review a Pez D'Or swimsuit from their new collection. With the last pregnancy I only started showing in August, so I was only at the beach once with a tummy that was barely visible. This time I'm already 4 months pregnant in June, so this is perfect.
I received a size small, unfortunately the bottoms were too big for me. I wasn't surprised considering all swim wear bottoms are usually too big on me. Most people wouldn't have that problem, I just happen to be tiny on the bottom! The top though is perfect, it is designed in such a way that it is really flattering no matter how tiny or big you are on top. It has a perfect, adjustable fit and looks great on a pregnant tummy. Actually it looks so good I would not hesitate to wear it not being pregnant as well! It is extremely comfortable, I even anticipate wearing it as a top for walks with my toddler throughout the summer because the coverage is not too much and not too little - I do like to get a smooth tan. Pez D'Or swimsuits are a little more expensive than your average swimsuit, ranging between $80 and $160. You can also steal one for about $40 to $60 on Zulily during their summer sales (one just ended yesterday!). In return you get high quality, unmatched styles, and a swimsuit you'll love wearing even after pregnancy.
The color is so gorgeous, reminding me of breezy beaches and warm ocean waters. There are also a ton of different styles to choose from, in any color you wish. Pez D'Or has one of the best maternity swimsuit selections I have ever seen, be sure to take a look.
For all of you that are not pregnant, they have also made a new line of swimsuits for Anthropologie! They range from $80 to $158. Here is what's available:
