21 Ways to Celebrate Earth Day 365 Days a Year!

Earth Day. Forty years huh? I haven't been around long enough to celebrate many Earth Days, but that's not a big deal. We do things differently around here anyway, you see. For us, every day is Earth day. While a holiday may motivate some to finally start recycling, to be 'greener', to live healthier - it ends up being like a New Year's resolution. Here today, gone tomorrow.

Our family by no means does everything we can to be Earth-friendly. We unfortunately depend on fossil fuels for now. We don't have land to plant our own garden. We haven't started composting, though that is in the works. I know there are a lot more things we could do. Ultimately though, it is all about the health of my family. Taking good care of the Earth is just what happens when you think about your health first. But there is a lot we do that has become a way of life, and we enjoy it. The biggest of which, I think, is just cutting down on our consumption. When I think I want to buy something, I ask myself a few questions. "Do I really need this?" "Do I already have something at home that could serve the same purpose?" "Let me guess, this thing is made in China, probably by some young, underpaid workers." "How could I spend the same amount of money wiser?"

If even just half of our country seriously considered these questions when they contemplate purchases, it would change a lot! To help you out in making healthier choices for you family, we have compiled a great list of things we do as a family every day on Earth, please check it out below, comments are appreciated!
