So Unexpected...

My father-in-law passed away today. He was like a second dad to me. I cannot fathom how my mother-in-law and all their children feel right now, how my husband feels. We are a very close family. He was the kindest man and no-doubt the reason that same quality drew me to my husband some 8 years ago. I am so thankful to have known him and so sad our youngest will not remember him.

Hug your spouses, your parents, your children, and always remember that every goodbye could be the last!

Please pray for their family and ours at this hard time.

  2. I am so sorry to hear that. The unexpected ones are the worst for the family, you don't get to say "until we meet again". I'm struck by how much Baby T. resembles him, the expression is the same. He lives on in these children. He is in a beautiful place, he knows he was loved and he will watch over all of you. We're all going to the same place, just at different times. Your families are in my prayers. Stay strong

  3. I am so sorry for your families loss, I don't usually pray but I will for you and your family.
My hubbies dad passed away years ago, and I was in your place on what you should say to try and be there for my hubby. But what I found worked is to ask what he needed me to do to help him through this time, and what he said was to just give him time and when he was ready, he would ask me just to listen. Every person is different but I think you will help them in your own way.
    Take care.

  7. I'm so sorry for your loss. I absolutely love my father-in-law too and I've been scared for the last several years that we might lose him since his health has declined a bit and we've been through a couple of health scares with him already. I hate the area we live in now but one of the very few positives is that my children are closer to my father-in-law now and get to see him a little more often. I take some comfort in that.

To lose someone you loved so much very suddenly would be extremely difficult. I will keep you and yours in prayer.
