Finnstuments Hand Painted Kids Musical Instruments Review

My four year old daughter is our little musician. She uses anything she can get her hands on as an instrument, even her wooden play kitchen. She sings the moment she wakes up and sings as she goes to bed. We recently had the opportunity to review this beautiful hand painted recorder from the Finnstruments Etsy shop.

Finnstruments really caught my eye because the musical instruments are beautifully painted in bright colors. The kids guitar has got to be my favorite in the shop! These are all perfect for unstructured play, role playing, group music and movement classes for little ones, or as gifts for kids. Some of the smaller instruments are great as stocking stuffers or even party favors.

Baby E loves the recorder she received, and not just because it is pink. Yes, it annoys me sometimes when the house gets noisy with music instruments, but music is so ingrained in my kids, I can't take that away from them. I let them be noisy, at least until nine in the evening since we have neighbors! We actually haven't figured out how to play it and can't get anything but two sounds out of it, that certainly doesn't stop her from making music.

Baby T chases after her, trying to snatch the recorder - well, he does that with every toy that's in her hands. He managed to make some sounds with it even at his humble 16 months. I love wooden toys like this for open ended play, they invent so many ways to use it. Whether it is a princess, the musician in a castle, or an orchestra member - they keep coming up with new roles to play.

The recorders cost $35 each and there are many other wonderful options such as kazoos, drums, guitars, tambourines, maracas, train whistle, castanets, and a xylophone. The creations are shipped to your doorstep from California and they make a wonderful personalized gift!
