LifeWithoutPlastic Airtight Glass Containers Review {Sponsor Highlight}

I pack dinner for my husband to take to work every day and we have had trouble finding a non-toxic, leak proof solution for packing it. Recently I found these genius airtight glass containers at LifeWithoutPlastic.com. We are so excited to try these! We have been slowly eliminating all the plastic containers in our home and these certainly adhere to the criteria of being non-toxic.

We received a small and a large container for review. No, they are not for Baby T, but he's a cute prop! As you can see, they are generously sized, the large one is big enough to fit a large sandwich. We decided the little one is perfect for storing cheese in the refrigerator. You may find this hard to believe, but until now we've been putting our cheese in a little plastic bag, yuck. This is absolutely perfect for our Gouda, raw milk cheddar, and Jarlsberg! It keeps it fresh, no hard crust, doesn't make the fridge stink like cheese, and keeps mold at bay longer - though most times we eat the cheese before it goes bad.

The containers are fairly made in Korea by Sanctus Mundo, they look like they are very good quality. On the top there is a silicone button that you press when you close the container, it makes it airtight with the silicone seal all around the edge of the container. It took a minute to figure it out, but it is really easy, once you need to open it you just pull the silicone seal up and the seal comes loose to be easily opened. I love that there is no plastic here! Even the lid is stainless steel!

I absolutely love everything at LifeWithoutPlastic! It's an incredible store for all kind of alternatives to toxic plastic things. I love their vast selection of stainless steel tiffins, non-toxic tableware, and childrens tableware.  There are a myriad of things that will make packing lunches, storing leftovers, and serving guests less toxic and more stylish. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the products. These containers are priced at $27.95 for the large one and $19.95 for the small one. Consider how it would eliminate your dependency on plastic storage bags and/or toxic plastic containers and you can see why the price is worth it.

Come back May 14th to 27th during the Summer Splash Event and enter to win the same Large and Small Airtight Glass Containers with Stainless Lids as part of one of two $250 prize packages!  (PS: There will be over $1000 in prizes and 4 winners thanks to some new sponsors!)

    Errr... You do realize that the silicone button and seal *are* plastic, right? Silicone is a non-carbon plastic polymer.

    These are *less* plastic and look like a very nice product but they aren't plastic free.

    1. Ah, you got me there! Although I would like to point out that medical grade silicone is not as toxic as other plastics, and in this case it doesn't really come in contact with food. If you ever find a container that is leak proof and completely plastic free I'd love to know! So far I haven't found one :) Maybe I should make one!? With a natural rubber seal ;)
