The one mistake I made with the last pregnancy is not investing in any belly support. While it isn't as important in the beginning stages of pregnancy, it is a must at the end. When I was eight months along I ended up tying a sheet to hold my belly up when I was home, obviously I could not do that outside! I had the pleasure of reviewing the Organic Support Belly Band from Queen Bee. I have the size small which fits perfectly now, but honestly I have no idea how it could possibly fit over an 8 or 9 month belly. I think it will be perfect to wear through 7 months for gentle support, after that you need something more supportive.
This Queen Bee belly band is perfect to wear as support for your pre-pregnancy pants as well. But it doesn't just hold the pants up, it provides gentle support and compression and it is made of an organic cotton/spandex/viscose blend. It is extremely soft and comfortable to wear. I am four months pregnant and even now with my small belly it really makes this transition into pregnancy easier on my back. It is very discreet under clothing, doesn't bunch up, and the bonus is that it is Eco-friendly.
It also great with tops that are too short to wear over the belly, it sticks out like a cute camisole underneath. This of course extends your wardrobe options since so many shirts are wearable over a belly but just too short.
