Everyday Shea Review

I am always looking for new natural skin and hair care products and recently I had the opportunity to try Everyday Shea. I was sent a travel size shampoo and conditioner to test. I have very fine and sometimes dry hair that doesn't like to be washed often. I chose the Vanilla Mint and I'm glad I did. The smell alone would make me buy it, it's so delicious! I was primarily drawn to it because of the good ingredients list, but if I could smell it on the internet, it would be another deciding factor.

The Shea Butter Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner left my hair smelling great and looking shiny. I didn't feel like it stripped my hair of natural oils either. I would use it again for sure. I appreciate the fact that it has no parabens, synthetic fragrances, and is made with fair trade Shea butter.

  1. I bought the large Unscented Shampoo from Whole Foods and ended up returning it. I used it several times and it left my hair so heavy and oily that it took days (and an apple cider vinegar wash) to get it all out. It may be good for some hair types but is definitely not for thick, pregnant hair!

    1. If you are switching from conventional shampoos, you should always allow two weeks or so for your head to get used to weaker soaps. This is because conventional shampoos strip your natural oils and therefore make you produce a lot to keep up. After a few weeks with gentler products your own natural oils will lessen and the product will likely become sufficient. Unpleasant in the meantime, though, I agree.

  2. I'd love to try a sample size too, just so I don't have to get a full size one, which is way too expensive for me here in Canada and it would suck to be disappointed in it as the last reviewer.

I have fine, oily hair, and one or both of the things I'm using now is making it worse... it too won't wash out. I didn't have a problem till the temperature around here stayed above freezing though...
