Kiddy City 'n Move Stroller Review {super cute photos!}

If you are in the market for an umbrella stroller, the new-to-the-U.S. Kiddy City 'n Move should be on your list to check out! Whether you have an infant or a toddler, this full-feature German engineered stroller will exceed your expectations. We are giving one away tomorrow! So be sure to come back... Meanwhile, we hope our video and photos will help you out (or at least make you drool).

The Kiddy City 'n Move has a lot to offer for a baby and parent. One-hand recline, compact fold, ample storage, adjustable thigh support, parent cup holder and bumper bar come standard, huge canopy, ventilated seat, car seat adapters, and an easy to use 5 point harness - a lot to love as you can see!

Remember this Kiddy logo you see above, you'll be seeing a lot more of it in the States with their lineup of baby gear! Since this stroller is new to us this side of the ocean, you may have a hard time finding reviews of it. So my job here is to help you make the right decision as to whether this is the one for your family. A picture is worth a thousand words, so I will let these do the talking.

So what do we think? This color, Hawaii, is gorgeous! I think it's boy and girl friendly. If we were to have another girl I wouldn't hesitate to put her in this modern stroller. It looks great with Baby T's and Baby E's eyes. They also have six other colors to match your taste.

When I first unpacked the stroller, I'll be honest - my first thought was that it is quite heavy. I didn't really expect that from an umbrella stroller. It weighs 21 pounds. I've had an even heavier stroller before though. But you know what? All my hesitation with the weight dissipated when I unfolded it and got my first look (see how it unfolds in the video at the end!). The second thing that struck me was how solid and sturdy it is. It is a very high quality piece, I can tell. To illustrate, the Kiddy City 'n Move is like an Audi in the world of cars. Even my highly discerning husband commented on its durability.

As with most umbrella-fold strollers, it has cross-bars on the bottom that somewhat make the storage space hard to access. So Kiddy thought of a neat way to solve that problem by adding a zipper to the storage basket as you can see in the photo above. Now you shouldn't have any trouble placing a medium size diaper bag in there. Speaking of diaper bags, you can hang one on the stroller handles and the stroller will not tip!

Need more storage? For your clutch, cell phone, keys? A little snack for mama maybe (chocolate!)? This is the place for your stash. A generously sized pocket on the back of the stroller. I love that it's not mesh, I don't really like people seeing my stuff.

There is a place for your drink as well with a cup holder to the left. My stainless water bottle fits in there perfectly. I didn't even realize how neat it is to have a cup holder until I saw this, our current stroller didn't have one and the heavy bottle ended up weighing down the storage pocket all the time.

There is a peek-a-boo window on the canopy to keep an eye on your munchkin (below). I love that it's generous and wide, not a tiny little peek hole. Would prefer magnetic closure (wink!), but the velcro piece works fine and isn't too loud.

As for baby comfort? The Kiddy City 'n Move has it going on! I would have to say that so far, this is hands down the comfiest stroller Baby T has sat in. My pet peeve with strollers is when the seat doesn't come upright enough. Drives me bananas. This seat comes all the way up and I could tell right away how comfortable he was, despite it being his nap time.

Another neat feature, the stroller is also recommended and certified by AGR (Aktion Gesunder RΓΌcken’) which is the Campaign for Healthier Backs.  The AGR seal of approval awards products that have their back-friendly construction tested by an independent review panel of medical and scientific experts.  It was certified and recommended by the Association of Healthy Back-Better Living and the Federal Association of German Back Schools. Maybe that explains why he looks so comfy in it.

Love, love, love the adjustable thigh support. I've had dreams of one. You guessed it, missing from our current stroller. Another important bonus? It is car seat compatible with the Peg Perego, Chicco, Graco, and Maxi Cosi.

This is 11 month old Baby T in the stroller, with the thigh support raised up.

Here is almost 4 year old Baby E in the stroller with the thigh support down... Which brings me to the last feature that knocked our socks off - this lovely gigantic supersize every-parent's-dream canopy! It goes down, and down, and down, for playing peek-a-boo. It is also UV 80 material to shield from the sun. You can see it in action below, FYI.

Yes, we made a video for you. It's 'homemade', we don't have professional equipment. But we thought it is very, very important since it's so new and videos are impossible to find! See the stroller in action, the unfolding and folding, the canopy, recline, removable bumper bar, and thigh support - all of which are adjustable. If you have specific questions we would be happy to answer them in the comments!

The Kiddy City 'n Move retails for $219.99 and since it is so new, it will be available for purchase on Amazon soon in the next few weeks. The list of retailers will also be updated shortly with more places you can buy one.

  10. Thank you for showing all the details of the stroller, i like the unique bottle holder, something i always have with me, and the extra cover from the rainy day is a plus. My double stroller almost has no use, because it takes half of the trunk leaves us with little space, this would be a great stroller on the go.

  18. I had not ever heard of the AGR - Aktion Gesunder RΓΌcken’-, the Campaign for Healthier Backs. I am pleased that someone is seriously taking this into consideration. I have noticed some car seats and strollers are so hard and uncomfortable that I definitely would not want to put a child in either one. Good back care must start from birth. This is a big plus for their car seats and strollers.
