EWG Cleaning Products Database Coming Soon! {Sneak Peek}

Don't you ever wish you could just press a button and see a list of all the most toxic and least toxic household cleaning products? The folks at the Environmental Working Group have read your mind (and mine)! Similar to the Skin Deep Cosmetic Safety Database, the Cleaning Product Database will rate products based on how toxic they are to your family. The most toxic household cleaners are on the list, hope you have none in your home - and if you do, get rid of them. Air fresheners are on the list, my nemesis, I loathe them wholeheartedly. Chemicals for the sole purpose of inhaling them? No thank you. I'm really looking forward to seeing the entire database this Fall!

  1. I hate hate hate all the chemicals in "cleaning" products! So often I feel we'd be safer just with the dirt, at least it's natural! But thanks for this info, just wondering, do you have any info on Seventh Generation cleaning products, from my limited research I like them best and use them as often as my budget can afford.

    1. I know, sometimes I think that 'dirty' is better than 'toxic clean'. :) I do like Seventh Generation products, certainly better and safer than the toxic ones, but they do have some questionable ingredients. Currently I'm completely in love with my Better Life cleaning products, the performance just blows me away every time I clean, and the ingredients are pristine. It's pricey, but I try to stretch it out :)
