Goodbye Detergent Review

I wash my dishes by hand. Yes, in the 21 st century. After we got married our first apartment didn't have a dishwasher. The place we bought has one, but it doesn't work and we didn't care to replace it as we are both used to washing dishes by hand.

With that said, I'm pretty picky with dish-washing detergent. I buy natural soaps that don't dry out my skin and don't have a strong fake smell that will cause me to gag. I love the natural orange and citrus dish soaps on the market. But it goes so fast! And I use it sparingly. Enter Goodbye Detergent Spaghetti Scrub. The dish wash scrubby I was dreaming of all my life. I have ditched germy and smelly sponges a while ago for some bamboo and agave plant cloth, but this - this tops it all! At first while reading the claims I just couldn't understand how you can wash dishes by barely using any detergent. What?! Environmentally friendly, made of cotton, polyester, and peach pit?

Now I know. I know I'll never go back to sponges or cloth. Baked on grease? Gone. The omelette I burned on our stainless steel pans? Came right off. It didn't even scratch my glass pans. Doesn't harbor germs, dries completely and fast. Why haven't I found this earlier? The forks in my cupboard are finally really clean, without any stuck on surprises.

This is the absolute perfect cleaning tool for stainless steel pans, a must! We ditched non-stick because of toxic chemicals. I don't know what I did without the Spaghetti Scrubs. I hated washing large pots and pans, now I actually enjoy it because I love seeing how easily everything comes off. The way I am using it now, looks like it will last a while, maybe half a year or more because I am so frugal and don't throw anything out until it falls apart. Totally worth it considering a two pack is $10.99. A small price to pay for enjoying washing dishes by hand!
