Eco Potty Training Guide

I still can't believe my girl is old enough to be potty trained! The Growing Up Green Bamboo Potty Seat that we bought (pictured above, also came with step stool) is our potty training essential. No vinyl or cartoon characters, just Eco-friendly bamboo. Since we already cloth diaper, I was looking for a way to potty train that would let us remain in cloth and keep clothes/furniture dry. Hence simple cotton undies just wouldn't do, especially when out and about. Here are four small, mom-owned companies that make great waterproof potty training undies. We really love all of them, each have their pros and cons but all make potty training so much easier. Now only if my daughter was as into it as I am!

We are still mostly in cloth diapers, but we use these training pants throughout the day when we are home and it is convenient to have her go on the potty. Since we do not have many, we figured out a great solution when we'll be potty training full time, she will be wearing regular cotton undies with cloth diaper covers of the pocket part of the pocket diapers. That way there is less mess and it is waterproof, but she can feel when it is wet. Very economical I must say! These waterproof training pants above are great for being out, which we will be doing a lot of now that it is getting warmer.
