Munchie Mug Review & Giveaway

Those pesky plastic bags. They seem to accumulate everywhere because my frugal self can't let them go after being used once. My common sense mentality doesn't see why I should keep paying money for something that I keep throwing out. Might as well just put dollar bills in the trash, right? That's why we've been switching to reusable containers for everything possible. But I couldn't find quite the right one for my toddler's snacks that she eats on a daily basis. I have a few nice stainless steel containers I used for her snacks, but I would end up either opening and closing it for her the whole day (cue screaming baby wanting to hold it herself) or leaving it open and later cleaning up her mess and digging for crackers in her car seat. There are very few options for self-closing snack cups, the Munchie Mug really appealed to me not only because it is BPA free, but because the design would not irritate the delicate baby skin.

Ease of Use & Design: This snack cup is perfect for toddlers. It has an opening that makes it easy for them to hold. The self-closing fabric is gentle on the hands, easily washable, and quick drying. The extra lid for keeping snacks fresh is handy for trips. The generous size is great, a little large for my 18 month old - I only fill it half way, but it is perfect for older toddlers with bigger bellies. It does take up a lot of room in a diaper bag, just to warn you. I usually just take it separately and she holds it herself in the stroller or in the car. If there is anything extra I would really like to see with this cup, it is the option of a simple stainless steel insert that would fit right into the cup. There is nothing like that on the market and it would be even better than food safe plastic. I also wish there were more designs and colors like green, orange, and turquoise (I'm sure that's in the works). Would be great if the Munchie Mug came in a smaller, diaper bag friendly size in addition to the large one.

Quality & Value: This is a solid snack cup that looks like it will last us all through toddlerhood and likely with any other babies. It's not made out of thin, flimsy plastic. Considering you're buying this once, the price is reasonable at $15.95 with shipping included. Yes, it is a lot more than other snack cups, but we all know how easily toddlers open those. This convenience product is worth getting for your sanity and peace of mind.

How is this green: 100% recyclable, reusable, made in the US of A.

Who Would You Recommend this to? Parents who are tired of picking up cereal, crackers, and other snacks left by their toddlers on the floor, in the car seat, in the stroller, between the couch cushions, in their high chair, and on your friend's new rug.
